PLEASE NOTE--THE EOG DATES HAVE CHANGED to June 23,26, & 27th!!!
Information about the “End of Year Celebration” was sent home last week. We will be having a video/slide show and a brief ceremony in our classroom on Friday, June 30 from 11:15-12:15. Following, refreshments will be available for you and your student(s). At the end of the school year, we will be moving several classrooms and we could really use your help! We need to move student desks, teacher desks, tables, chairs, and bookshelves. We are planning to move the majority of the furniture on Friday, June 30th beginning at 3:30 p.m. The more volunteers we have to help, the less our teachers and staff will have to do the week of July 3rd in preparation for the first day of school on July 10th. Math - We are reviewing for the Math EOG through written documents from the county, task cards, and video reviews..
ELA – We will finish reading the novel Fever 1793 by Laurie Halse Anderson on Wednesday. The story is about how a fourteen-year-old girl (Mattie Cook) survived the outbreak of Yellow Fever in Philadelphia in 1793. The comprehension questions should be completed by Friday and submitted via Google Classroom. Students are also creating a newspaper related to the story and this is being completed both at school and at home. The newspaper is due on Monday, June 19th.
Science – This week, students will be reviewing motion and design as well as the human body module. We have coach books, unit videos, task cards, and practice tests to assist with our study/review.
Important Dates: Please note the change of date for EOG’s. Also, testing usually begins right at 8:45 and does not end until after 11:30 at a minimum.
