Tuesday, September 11 In Class: We completed the note catcher about genre that we started yesterday and began a genre identification practice. Also, we updated our table of contents, and the open mind portrait was returned. Homework: read for 20 minutes Materials: BINDER, PAPER, PENCILS, PENS, AND A BOOK FOR LEISURE READING should be brought to class every day from here on.
Wednesday, september 12 In Class: We will complete the genre identification handout in class. Students will be working together to determine genre of books. A set of books will be at group tables and students will complete a group discussion. Homework: Genre handout #2(due when we return from the weather closing), Materials: BINDER, PAPER, PENCILS, PENS, AND A BOOK FOR LEISURE READING. scotch tape should be added to daily necessary materials.
